This is the first book I’ve read by this author and the premise initially sparked my curiosity. However, while I liked the idea of it (a modern-day detective story revealing a post-war mystery), and the way the plot unfolded, I did find the book a little difficult to get into. This may have been due to the author’s writing style, or, more likely, to my own nit-picking tendencies (sorry). Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable read with a thoughtful attention to detail and enough twisty-turny bits to keep me interested.
