‘Punishing the Innocent’ by Joy Mutter

My Review (5 stars out of 5)

Book 3 in the Nuru and his Crows series is another dark erotic thriller. Warring family members Jenna Doyle and her stepmother, find themselves under the influence of African Nuru Malonga, when he adds them to his list of women he must punish for crimes committed by their ancestors.

Having read most of Joy Mutter’s books, I’m more than familiar with her dark humour and raunchy take on the sinister side of life. In this book, Nuru’s carnal desires take over with an extended bout of bawdy shenanigans, putting Sasha and her stepdaughter through some pretty unsavoury scenes. Unlike some of the stories, this one isn’t all bad and most of the characters end up getting exactly what they deserve. Like books one and two, Punishing the Innocent could be read as a standalone, though I’d recommend reading the series in order.

Another enjoyable read but, as always, not for those of a nervous disposition or anyone easily offended. Sexually explicit throughout.
