My Review (5 stars out of 5)
Getting off a train at a remote station named Mother’s Rest, could be just another stop for Jack Reacher. But when he meets a woman who’s waiting for someone—someone who hasn’t turned up—it leads him into a mystery. The townspeople seem reluctant to let either Recher or the woman hang around, but Reacher doesn’t like being told what to do…
This is book 20 in the Jack Reacher series and it’s an intriguing one. For most of the book, we have no clue where the story is leading. Searching for missing former FBI agent Keever, and his as-yet-unknown client, Reacher and his new pal, Chang, hit the road in a bid to track down the client and the reason he employed Keever. Though much of the story is taken up with trying to solve the mystery (a clever one, involving the Internet), there are some great action sequences, including the final showdown, which sees Reacher shooting his way out of yet another sticky situation.
An exciting and intriguing read.

Thanks for this review, Colin. I’ll tell my mom, she loves Jack Reacher.
