‘Friends in Need’ by Joy Mutter

My Review (5 stars out of 5)

Taxi driver Andrew Southgate has no problems bedding women. Short of cash, he’s not short of happiness. Until, that is, he starts lusting after Viviana – wife of his best pal, Mike. While Mike often helps Andrew financially, he begins to suspect there may be something going on between his pal and his wife.

Having read most of this author’s books, I’m familiar with her writing style. Like most of her recent publications, this one is stuffed with sexual shenanigans, with a bit of murder on the side. Characters include the lustful Andrew, Private investigator Len (who also has a sideline in unsavoury hobbies), sex-mad Viviana, and rich boy Mike. Following one of those classic ‘help-me-bury-the-body’ requests, Andrew’s penchant for betrayal and deceit leads to a tragedy, which in turn pushes him towards the realisation of the true meaning of friendship.

As always, not for the fainthearted.
