The Chase team’s IT specialist Andree is drawn into a new adventure when an old classmate asks for his help. An encrypted data carrier may hold clues to Russian treasure but before Andree’s friend can tell him more, she is kidnapped by a gang of motorcyclists.
Translated by Geoffrey Quarterman from the original German, this is the third book in Thomas Dellenbusch’s theatre-of-the-mind series, intended to be read in the time it takes to watch a feature-length movie. A mysterious amber room and links to Russian Tsar Peter the Great, lead the Chase team on a hunt for the truth. The story is entertaining and does have a filmic feel to it, which is nice. As with previous books, the translation is occasionally a little skewed and sometimes I had to re-read passages to grasp the meaning, but overall, it’s an enjoyable read.
