‘Kids who Kill: Cristian Fernandez’ by Kathryn McMaster

Kids who Kill: Cristian Fernandez

True-crime investigation charting the shocking child murder of two-year-old David Galarraga-Blanco. When police arrest the toddler’s half-brother 12-year-old Cristian Fernandez, it seems they have caught the killer. But they also arrest Cristian’s mother, Bianella Susana, who waited eight long hours before seeking medical help for the toddler.

With verbatim accounts of Cristian’s interviews, the author highlights the lack of proper support and supervision offered by investigating officers during the many hours of questions. But the real question should be, did Cristian actually kill his sibling, or was he covering up for the real killer – his mother?

This is the third book in indie author Kathryn McMaster’s series ‘Kids Who Kill’ and as before, Ms McMaster’s attention to detail is extraordinary. Her writing displays a gentleness and sensitivity that demonstrates great compassion and a real understanding of the dreadful nature of this crime.

Will appeal to lovers of true crime, especially those who enjoy the work of Ann Rule.
