‘Sherlock Holmes: The Definitive Collection’ by Arthur Conan Doyle

Sherlock Holmes: The Definitive Collection

(Audiobook)
From his first appearance in A Study in Scarlet, Sherlock Holmes has delighted crime and detective fans throughout the world. In this mammoth collection, read by Stephen Fry, we get all the novels and stories along with Fry’s personal introductions to each title.

Running to a total of 71 hours, this is the perfect way to revisit the world’s favourite consulting detective. I’ve been listening to this over the last couple of months and it was great to hear them all again read delightfully and most entertainingly by the inimitable Stephen Fry (Blackadder, Fry and Laurie, QI etc), whose range of dialects and accents brings the stories and characters to life.

A must have collection for all Sherlockians.

Oooo, ready by Stephen Fry? That’s awesome! Our audio stories are read by Edward Hardwicke, who played Watson in the MYSTERY! adaptations of the 80s and 90s. He’s awesome, too. 🙂

Oh yes – I love Edward Hardwicke, he made a great Watson, playing opposite Jeremy Brett in the classic Granada tv series.

Absolutely, although Richard Roxburgh and Ian Hart did a great job in ‘Hound of the Baskervilles’ (2002).

I haven’t broken through into audio books yet, I still enjoy turning the page but I think you’ve sold it to me, this is one I really will investigate, see what I did there 😉

I got this one cheap due to having a freebie in my subscription to Audible. I listen to audio books travelling to work every day – it’s almost better than Radio 4!
