This is another of Ernesto San Giacomo’s short stories and like his story collection Ragged Souls, the author’s use of language and style is a real treat. Painting a kind of Orwellian, dystopian world engulfed in rules and regulations, his hero struggles to understand the new order.

A clever and thoughtful tale that reminds us how overprotective and interfering governments can go too far when striving to safeguard its citizens.
