Over the years, Joy Mutter’s subject matter has veered from straightforward biographical works to bizarre, bloody and fantastical killing sprees. In this book, the author’s black humour is ever present as the Storm family have their lives picked apart when they come under Nuru’s carnal desires. Powerless to object, Eloise finds herself at the beck and call of a host of sex-mad men as every sexual inclination in existence is demanded of her. Although billed as a standalone, I’d recommend reading the first book in the series (Nuru and His Crows) to stay ahead of the action.

Another interesting and enjoyable read but, as always, not for the faint-hearted. Sexually explicit throughout.
