My Review (5 stars out of 5)
During a funeral on a rainy Shetland day, a landslide sweeps across the road and into an empty croft house. But when Inspector Jimmy Perez checks the damage, he discovers the body of a woman. As an investigation begins in a bid to learn the woman’s identity, it transpires that the landslide did not kill her, and Perez finds himself on the hunt for a murderer. And then another body is found…
This is book 7 of the Shetland series and once again Perez teams up with the lovely Chief Inspector Willow Reeves. As always, the writing is a delight, and the various twists and turns as the team hunt for the killer build the tension gradually, leading to an exciting denouement. The developing relationship between Perez and Reeves also heats up and the canny cop must make some important decisions about the future.
An enthralling read that kept me turning the pages from start to finish.

An excellent review, Colin. My mum also likes this author.

Thanks Robbie. Only one more book to go in this series then I’ll get back to the ‘Vera’ series.
