My Review (4 stars out of 5)
A deadly disease known as ‘The Sweats’ sweeps the globe. In London the hospitals are filling up with the dead and dying. Meanwhile, TV shopping-channel presenter Stevie Flint thinks the unexpected – and supposed suicide – of her doctor boyfriend Simon Sharkey is suspicious. Searching for the killer leads Stevie into a dangerous world of lies and murder.
This is the first book in the Plague Times Trilogy and the third book I’ve read by this author. First off, I have to say this one isn’t quite up to the previous books (The Cutting Room and Tamburlaine Must Die), mainly because the central character isn’t as believable as she should be. Also, the whole thing about the clan of doctors who’ve known each since childhood was a bit too perfect for me and the heroine’s obsession with finding the killer didn’t quite ring true. However, aside from that It’s an interesting and enjoyable read and I’m sure I’ll return to this author again soon.

Interesting. The Sweats is a real disease that plagued England in the 14th century. It just disappeared after causing many deaths.
