‘No Time for Doubt’ by Robert Crouch

My Review (5 stars out of 5)

A decomposed body is found in a dingy bedsit, leading Kent Fisher to dig into his past. Uncovering a series of crimes from thirty years ago, he must ask some probing questions to find out the truth.  With the help of his detective pal Belinda, Kent sets about putting things straight – including sorting out his fractured love-life…

This is book ten in the Downland Murder Mysteries Series and as usual, it throws our hero into the thick of things, and leaves him wondering exactly who he can trust. Struggling to sort out how he feels about his absent wife, Gemma, as well as his feelings (if he has any!) for top cop Belinda, Kent has to pull apart his family’s history to fit the pieces of the puzzle together.

As always, Kent’s method of discovery includes asking himself lots of questions, though in this book the questions begin to get a little repetitive and I couldn’t help wishing he’d just get on with it. 😉

Another cracking good read with an exciting conclusion that had me turning the pages faster than a Kwik Fit Fitter.

It does, Robbie, though I’d recommend starting with the first book, as there’s quite a bit of backstory by book ten 😉
